Most know I was rooting for Bates and Anthony Battaglia (the hockey brothers) to win The Amazing Race but I didn't think I would be so excited to watch them win. I was almost in tears and so proud of 2 guys I don't know. We did, however, just see them at a Hurricanes game and was only about 10 feet away from them.
I have never watched a season of The Amazing Race before but being a huge hockey fan and both Bates and Anthony being hockey players (Bates even played for my fav. team) and local boys I felt like I had a team to cheer for. I could not have asked for better guys to watch as they weren't like most men you see on reality TV. They were respectful, sweet, funny and didn't play mind games with other contestants. It was great to see the nice guys finish first!
