So this is a story that makes my husband and friends all laugh at me.
About 5 years ago my husband was telling me about a woman he was working with named Rupa. I made a face and said "what an unfortunate name". My husband asked why and I responded "you know - like rupus of the poopus!" He looked at me like I was crazy and asked what rupus of the poopus was. I chuckled and told him it meant diarrhea. After some debate if this was a real term for the poops I proudly told him to "Google it"! We tried many spellings and nothing showed up so still thinking I was right I told him to call my Mom since she was the one who used this phrase my whole life. He called and asked my Mom what she called diarrhea and when she said "rupus of the poopus", I felt vindicated. Then everything unraveled my Mom said it was a term my Grandma (on my dad's side) used and it just caught on around the house and that she never heard of it before or since.
This means I was 30 years old and just thought it was slang everyone knew of. Who knows how many times I have said this to people in the past. Thanks Mom for making me look like a crazy person!
