America Ninja Warrior

First, these people are incredible athletes and amazing to watch.
How do they come up with the courses?  It seems really unfair to short people and women.  Crazy arm strength looks like a must so I understand the rock climbers doing well.  The people who build the obstacles in their yards kinda weird me out, like an obsessed fan.
Another thing I don't get is Parkour. It is probably a good workout but it looks silly jumping over cars, walls and jumping off of buildings.
Entertaining but makes me ask "Why?" a lot.

The Office

The husband I have seen every episode and most of them about 10 times.  We often quote some of our favorite lines and today I noticed we even kinda make the same facial expressions.  Maybe we have seen these too many times but we can't help it - we still find them funny.

Getting Ready

Starting to prepare for our trip to CT.  It is still a week away but since we are taking the dogs we have to make sure we have their food and stuff.  We got a fancy seat cover for the back seat that they hopefully like.
Looking forward to seeing family and friends and maybe even a day for just the two of us since it is a vacation.

Books

Sometimes I miss bookstores.  I just finished a book and am looking for a new one.  I am on Goodreads but I don't usually find my next book on their recommendations.  I love walking around a bookstore and just picking out books (yes, by the cover), reading the back and leaving with a few books I am excited to read.  I know I could still go to a bookstore but now I have a Kindle and feel bad not buying anything.  I have a hard time looking up books online when I don't know what to look up.  I kinda want a fun summer beach read but I also like witchy mysteries and at some point want to give Brad Meltzer's books a try.
Going to see what Amazon and Entertainment Weekly recommend. Wish me luck.

Tired Eyes

A quick search into the husband's family on Ancestry.com turned into 6 hours.  My eyes hurt but I am finding some fun information.

Trip Planned

The week of Labor Day we will be at the beach!  Can't wait - just have to get through a trip to Connecticut and then the some relaxing fun at the beach.  Sorry to any family members in CT that read this but I think I am more excited to go to the beach. The truth is I would rather you come here and we all go to the beach but you won't do that.

NHL Schedule

The NHL released the schedule for the 2013-2014 season.  On October 4th, the Canes open at home against the Red Wings.
In other exciting news I ordered this today to be ready for October 6th.

We Forgot CT's Birthday

We are bad dog parents.  CT turned 9 years old on July 11th and we only remembered yesterday.
CT can't have ANY treats since his diagnosis of Inflammatory Bowel Disease so he couldn't have his usual treats and spoiling.  I hope he knows how much we love him and what a special guy he is.  We are so lucky to have him.

NHL Schedule

I wish the NHL would release the 2013-2014 schedule so we can plan our road trip to Philly.  Yes, this trip would be about Vinny.

Ancestry

Looking at Ancestry.com again but this time for the husband's family.  We are going to a family reunion in a couple weeks so let's see what I can dig up.

Monopoly

We ate McDonald's tonight and now I find out the Monopoly game starts tomorrow.

I don't know why but ripping those game pieces takes my mind off eating junky food.

This summer weather has been super crappy.  I am tired of the gray and I hate the storms EVERY day.  Constant flood warnings are annoying and it's putting me in a bitchy mood.

Big Brother

Every summer the husband and I look forward to Big Brother where we pick our favorites and analyze game plans.  This group of house guests aren't making it easy.  They are rude, immature, inappropriate, conceited not to mention racist and crazy.
After watching the episodes and reading a little on twitter I only like Helen.  I don't think it was fair to Elissa to play the game when she is the only one related to a past guest since it made her an instant target.
Hoping the mean people leave and the smart, funny people move on and make it easier to watch.

Hart Of Dixie

I have been watching Hart of Dixie on Netflix when the husband is gone (he hates chick TV) and it makes me want to move to a small town.  Just like in Gilmore Girls, I want to walk through the center of town and celebrate a made up holiday with all the goofy characters.
I am aware this is TV and not reality but it looks like fun.

Silly Question

If I order a chicken wrap, french fries and a milkshake, do you really need to ask if I want my chicken grilled or crispy???

Hey Puppies

You know you have watched too much Arrested Development on Netflix when your husband comes home and says "Hey Puppies" just like Buster.
I forgot how funny that show was. I love the way every family member imitates a chicken in a strange way and Michael asking if any of them have actually seen a real chicken.
